چکیده

We study the phase diagram of a lattice gas $2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1$ hard plates on three-dimensional cubic lattice. Each plate covers an elementary plaquette lattice, with constraint that site can belong to utmost one plate. focus isotropic system, equal fugacities for three orientations plates. show, using grand canonical Monte Carlo simulations, system undergoes two transitions when density is increased: first from disordered fluid layered phase, and second sublattice-ordered phase. In breaks up into disjoint slabs thickness along spontaneously chosen Cartesian direction, corresponding twofold (${Z}_{2}$) symmetry breaking translation layering direction. Plates normals perpendicular this direction are preferentially contained entirely within these slabs, while straddling adjacent have lower density, thus between types show exhibit two-dimensional power-law columnar order even in presence nonzero vacancies. contrast, interslab correlations parameter decay exponentially separation slabs. there all directions. present numerical evidence transition continuous consistent universality class $O(3)$ model anisotropy, sublattice first-order nature.

Universality in the Three-Dimensional Hard- Sphere Lattice Gas

We perform Monte Carlo simulations of the hard-sphere lattice gas on the body-centred cubic lattice with nearest neighbour exclusion. We get the critical exponents, β/ν = 0.311(8) and γ/ν = 2.38(2), where β, γ, and ν are the critical exponents of the staggered density, the staggered compressibility, and the correlation length, respectively. The values of the hard-sphere lattice gas on the simpl...

Critical phenomena of the hard-sphere lattice gas on the simple cubic lattice

We study the critical phenomena of the hard-sphere lattice gas on the simple cubic lattice with nearest neighbour exclusion by the Monte Carlo method. We get the critical exponents, β/ν = 0.313(9) and γ/ν = 2.37(2), where β is the critical exponent for the staggered density, γ for the staggered compressibility, and ν for the correlation length.

O ct 1 99 5 Critical activity of the hard - sphere lattice gas on the body - centred cubic lattice

This is the first Monte Carlo study of the hard-sphere lattice gas with nearest neighbour exclusion on the body-centred cubic lattice. We estimate the critical activity to be 0.7223 ± 0.0003. This result confirms that there is a re-entrant phase transition of an antiferromagnetic Ising model in an external field and a Blume-Emery-Griffiths model on the body-centred cubic lattice.

Thermodynamics and diffusion of a lattice gas on a simple cubic lattice.

A lattice gas model with nearest neighbor attractive interactions on a simple cubic lattice is considered. The method of nonequilibrium statistical ensembles due to Zubarev is used to derive expressions for jump and chemical diffusion coefficients. For thermally activated hopping dynamics in the hydrodynamical (low frequency, long wavelength) limit, and neglecting specific memory effects, these...

A three-dimensional lattice gas model for amphiphilic fluid dynamics

We describe a three-dimensional hydrodynamic lattice-gas model of amphiphilic fluids. This model of the non-equilibrium properties of oil-water-surfactant systems, which is a non-trivial extension of an earlier two-dimensional realisation due to Boghosian, Coveney and Emerton [2], can be studied effectively only when it is implemented using high-performance computing and visualisation technique...
